The Lethal Scrum is a robust boot developed to deal with the rigours of forward-play, where players demand traction, protection and functionality. Eight studs provide grip when scrummaging and driving, while the 10mm heel gradient positions the foot in its optimal position. Durable Synthetic Upper The Lethal Scrum features a durable, smooth synthetic leather upper, which can withstand the rigours of the forward's game, and be easily wiped clean after the match is over. The boot is designed with a 10mm heel gradient that ensures the best biomechanical position for running, allowing the foot to work most efficiently by keeping the body in a forward position, while reducing the load on the Achilles tendons, calf muscles, hamstring and back. A solid heel cradle provides impact protection and a locked in feel, while the removable EVA moulded sockliner provides plush underfoot cushioning, and can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic. Solyte Midsole Additional cushioining is provided by Asics' innovative Solyte midsole, which offers lightweight underfoot cushioning and support. Solyte is lighter than Asics' SpEVA technology, yet provides more durable cushioning and responsiveness to keep you feeling light on your feet and agile throughout the game. The Solyte sits on a firm midsole platform to provide midfoot stability and extra traction in the scrum, rucks and mauls. DuoMax material is also incorporated into the midsole, and provides further support to lock your foot in place during the game. Studded Outsole The Lethal Scrum features 8 removable studs and four moulded plastic studs, arranged to provide the highest traction possible on soft ground.
