Living there today is the veteran film director Nathan Clore, whose output of schlock horror movies in the Seventies generated its own brand of terror among cinema audiences. His health now failing, he has summoned home his stepdaughter Alison, to share with her, finally, the dreadful truth about what happened to her family there when she was just a child. Were her mother and sisters really killed by demonic forces?
