In Earth's Dawn begin je in een periode waar al vele jaren de vrede heerst. Maar dan komt er een buitenaardse invasie die de planeet verwoesten, dit buitenaardse ras word de E.B.E. genoemd. De E.B.E. bewegen zich over de hele planeet en vernietigen alles wat ze zien. Gewone wapens doen helemaal niks tegen de E.B.E., de mensheid lijkt aan hun lot over te zijn gelaten.

Maar dan is er gelukkig een technische doorbraak, door gebruik te maken van gestolen E.B.E. technologie kunnen er toch een aantal wapens gemaakt worden waar je mee kan terugvechten. De kracht om terug te vechten word in de handen van een kleine elite strijdmacht geplaatst.
