Murdered Soul Suspect is een bovennatuurlijke detectivethriller waarin spelers worden uitgedaagd de moeilijkst mogelijke zaak op te lossen: die van hun eigen moord.

Spelers kruipen in de huid van Ronan O'Connor, een detective met wisselende successen, wiens leven vroegtijdig wordt beindigd door een brute en meedogenloze moordenaar.

De enige manier waarop hij kan ontsnappen aan de vagevuurachtige wereld van Dusk is om de waarheid achter de moord te vinden, de moordenaar op te sporen en hem voor het gerecht te brengen, hierbij gebruik makend van zijn ervaring als detective en zijn nieuwe bovennatuurlijke krachten.
