Status Quo behoeft natuurlijk geen enkele introductie meer. De band verkocht wereldwijd bijna honderdtwintig miljoen albums, haalde taloze gouden en platina albums en gaf meer dan zesduizend shows. Ondanks al het succes is de groep altijd met beide benen op de grond blijven staan en ontzettend sympathiek gebleven. Status Quo is anno 2018 nog steeds een zeer overtuigende liveband, dat maakt de Down Down live-serie, bestaande uit Down Down & Dignified At The Royal Albert Hall en Down Down & Dirty At Wacken, eens te meer duidelijk. De twee releases laten op perfecte en indrukwekkende wijze de twee kanten van Status Quo zien. Het optreden in de befaamde Royal Albert Hall in Londen is een eenentwintig nummers tellende akoestische set, terwijl Live At Wacken een complete registratie is van het optreden dat de Quo voor 70.000 mensen in 2017 op het legendarische Wacken festival in Duitsland gaf. Na de tragische dood van medeoprichter Rick Parfitt heeft Status Quo in de jonge Ierse gitarist Richie Malone een waardig opvolger gevonden.
