Prison Architect

Prison Architect is een 'tycoon'/sandbox game. Je bouwt met resources (die je koopt en worden afgeleverd) blocks waarmee je vanaf nul je gevangenis opbouwt. Je kunt dus zelf de inrichting van de gevangenis bepalen. Daarnaast bepaal je ook het regime in de gevangenis, dus hoe lang (en OF) de gevangenen vrije tijd hebben, douchetijd, etenstijd, etc. Ze hebben ook bepaalde behoeften, en als die niet worden behandeld dan krijg je massale vechtpartijen.

Je kunt je gevangenen ook inzetten als werkslaven, zoals in een boomkwekerij, zaagshop of nummerbord-fabriek(en) die je zelf kunt bouwen op je terrein. Je kunt ze echter ook naar bepaalde opleidingen sturen om ze te herintegreren (krijg je weer bonussen voor) Daarnaast heb je ook volledige vrijheid in je bewakers, of je ze uitrust met een hond of een stun gun, of zelfs een shotgun.

Je moet ook zorgen dat je bewakers voldoende contraband vinden, mensen overhalen te 'snitchen' (en erna bewaken), je high security prisoners extra bewaken terwijl je low sec tv's kunt geven, etc. Het spel is behoorlijk diepgaand, en geeft je echt heel veel vrijheid. Als je van Tycoon / Sim / management-games houdt dan is dit echt een van de toptitels.
