Elvis Presley: The Searcher (Original Soundtrack) is de muzikale metgezel van een tweedelige, drie uur durende HBO documentaire over het fenomeen Elvis Presley, van de hand van Emmy -en Grammy Award winnaar Thom Zimny. In de film staat de ontwikkeling van zijn vroege blues- en country roots tot aan zijn legendarische opnamesessies in de Jungle Room op Graceland in 1976 centraal.




De kern van de soundtrack bestaat uit 18 essentiële Elvis Presley hits (“Heartbreak Hotel,” “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”), krachtige vocalen (“That’s All Right,” “Tomorrow Is a Long Time,” “Trouble/Guitar Man”) en zeldzame uitvoeringen van nummers die mijlpalen voor hem betekenden als artiest (“Suspicious Minds,” “Separate Ways”).

Naast deze LP versie is de soundtrack ook beschikbaar op CD en als 3CD Deluxe Box Set met nog eens 37 Elvis tracks, een extra disc met vele extra's en een 40 pagina’s tellend hardcover boekwerk.
