Her derde studio album van de Red Hot Chili Peppers kwam uit in 1987 en heet: The Uplift Mofo Party Plan. De enige single van dit album heet Fight Like A Brave, en laat die typische funk rock muziekstijl van de Peppers horen, inclusief een bijzondere combinatie van reggae en heavy metal.<br /><br />Dit album is tevens het laatste album waarop Hillel Slovak te horen is, die kort na hun promotietour overleed. Drummer Jack Irons verliet de band kort daarna.
